13 Step Glulam Timber Stringers - Pair Of

Extra items available with this product

eDecks Glulam Decking Stringers are strong, heavy-duty, and visually stunning, designed to withstand the test of time.

Ideal for various applications including accessing raised decks, patios and terraces.

Stringers are designed to hold the treads or steps in place, allowing for safe and stable movement up and down a raised garden space.

They are typically attached to the deck frame using truss clips or brackets and spaced apart according to the width of the steps and the load that will be placed on them. See our fitting guide for additional guidance on installation.

Engineered with precision, Glulam timber is specifically designed with strength and durability in mind and can handle heavy loads effortlessly, offering 1.5 – 2 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel.

Glulam is made by glueing together – under pressure and heat – laminates of timber that have been accurately planed; the resulting product is strong, stable and corrosion proof with significant advantages over structural steel and concrete.

The timber used for these stringers is pressure-treated green to BS8417 at our very own treatment works, creating an effective barrier to infestation by insects and fungi This will maximise the lifespan of the timber by up to 15 years!

Due to the length of these stringers, we supply a support post and fixings to provide additional support and reduce the chance of flex or movement.

Post Options

Concrete In – Longer posts are supplied, allowing 600mm to be bedded into the ground and fixed with concrete/postmix (not included).

Bolt Down Anchors – The ideal choice of fixing to secure a post onto a hardstanding / concrete base.

Please note: The finished height of the strip stringer will be dependent on the thickness of the deck board used for the steps on the final tread.

Truss Clips and other fixings are NOT included within this listing, you would need to purchase these separately depending on your application (see additional items to the right).
